Arteta Began To See Arsenal Future

WEST BROMWICH, United Kingdom: Mikel Arteta sees Arsenal’s season prospects now “different” after beating West Brom 4-0 to complete three Premier League victories in eight days.

Prior to last week’s game, the Gunners went through eight unbeaten league games and found themselves struggling in the bottom of the league.

But nine full points helped Arsenal regain their place in the European competition when they were now in 11th place and only three points from the top six.

“I am very happy that we managed to achieve the target because the league position looks completely different,” said Arteta, who found his position facing threat just after four months of winning the FA Cup.

“The energy we have in all parts is better and victory brings more confidence. You can see today how the team plays.”

West Brom have not won in four games since Sam Allardyce took over and the former England manager needs to quickly strengthen his defense if he wants to survive.

The Baggies surprised Manchester City and Liverpool with a previous 1-1 draw but have now conceded 12 goals in three meetings led by Allardyce near home.

Arsenal’s goal was scored by Kieran Tierney in the 23rd minute, Bukayo Saka (28) followed by Alexandre Lacazette’s two goals in the 60th and 64th minutes respectively.
