LONDON: David de Gea became Manchester United’s hero when he parried Mark Noble’s last-minute penalty to allow United to win 2-1 over West Ham in the English Premier League (EPL) here, just now.
The Hammers were awarded a penalty kick after the ball hit the hands of Luke Shaw and Noble who was put in to take the kick failed to complete it.
West Ham took the lead in the first half when Said Benrahma’s effort deflected Raphael Varane and failed to be saved by de Gea.
Cristiano Ronaldo, however, continued his consistent pace when he blasted home an equalizer despite his first attempt being saved by Lukasz Fabianski.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer waited until the game had 15 minutes left to add a sting in the attack and the chess insert of Jesse Lingard was worth it after the player blasted home the winning goal.
