Liverpool Tied By West Brom

Sam Allardyce led West Brom for the second time and the former England manager continued to set an excellent record at Anfield when Semi Ajayi headed in a corner eight minutes before the end and gave the visitors valuable points to avoid relegation.

Allardyce has not lost in his last four games at home against Klopp’s squad, Liverpool along with four different clubs.

“It was our own fault,” Klopp said. “We gave them a simple corner kick and that’s all they want tonight. Because of that, we only got one point out of three.”

West Brom remain in the bottom second, but move five points from the danger zone.

“Every player today shows the spirit that this team needs to get out of a dangerous position,” Allardyce said. “I see courage, high determination and quality.”

Tottenham, meanwhile, rose to fifth but missed out on a gap with Liverpool when they extended their unbeaten run to four games.
