LONDON: Paris St Germain say striker Kylian Mbappe suffered a leg injury while training yesterday.
It casts doubt on his involvement in the second round of the last 16 of the Champions League against Real Madrid early on Thursday morning.
Mbappe blasted a stunning individual goal at the end of the competition to give PSG a 1-0 win at home over Madrid in the first round last February.
“Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to his left leg during training today,” PSG said in a statement.
“He received treatment this afternoon. Clinical trials will be done and new tests will be made within 24 hours.”
The 23-year-old missed the 1-0 Ligue 1 defeat to Nice on Saturday due to a suspension as PSG were only able to score two tries on target.
PSG turned down several offers from Madrid for the player last year, who could leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season when his contract expires.
