PARIS: Kylian Mbappe was disappointed after Neymar failed to make a pass to him as Paris Saint-Germain beat Montpellier 2-0.
The 22 -year -old French star is said to have told Idriss Gueye that Neymar, 29, did not give the ball to him.
Mbappe was recorded showing the signal to Gueye, 31, after he was sent off in the 88th minute by operator Mauricio Pochettino.
“He didn’t make a pass to me,” the striker told Gueye.
PSG led 1-0 at the time and risked conceding an equalizer that would ruin their perfect start to the season.
When Mbappe wanted to continue his action against Montpellier, Pochettino replaced him with Julian Draxler and it turned out that the game paid off when Draxler scored PSG’s second goal – the result of a Neymar pass.
The capital club now leads Ligue 1 by 10 points after winning all eight league games so far.
PSG missed out on the title to Lille last season and Mbappe is desperate to reclaim the throne in his final season.
The World Cup winner’s contract will expire this June and it is believed that Real Madrid will be the next destination for Mbappe.
