Messi: Ronaldo Stands Out In Football

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi says Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo stands out in football.

Messi and Ronaldo dominated football for more than a decade, the pair have won 11 Ballon d’Or and the debate continues to discuss who is the best player of all time.

Ronaldo – Real Madrid’s top scorer – has won five Champions League (UCL) titles, three English Premier League titles, two Serie A titles and several other LaLiga titles throughout his career.

Messi equated five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

“There are a lot of commendable athletes. Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer, LeBron – in all sports there is always someone who stands out and is commendable for his work,” Messi said.

“Cristiano stands out in football. There are many who stand out and always do their best.”
