Bayern doubled their advantage after the break through a Kingsley Coman attempt that hit Salzburg defender Maximilian Woeber.

Leroy Sane scored his third goal after Bayern played 10 men when midfielder Marc Roca was sent off on his debut in the Champions League.

Salzburg came close with a goal from striker Mergim Berisha in the 73rd minute.
