LONDON: Harry Kane was named Premier League Player of the Year – overtaking Son Heung -min, Mason Mount and Declan Rice.
Arsenal teenager Bukayo Sako won the award for best teenager at the London Football Awards.
The 27 -year -old Tottenham striker has scored 31 goals and made 16 assists in 44 appearances this season.
The achievement allows Kane, who is also the England captain, to become the best English Premier League player this year.
Spurs team-mate Heung-min, Chelsea Mount star and his good friend Rice along with his West Ham team-mate Tomas Soucek are also vying for the title.
Although Rice and Soucek did not win, West Ham can be proud when their manager David Moyes was named best manager and Lukasz Fabianski for the goalkeeper category.
The Hammers are increasingly desperate to finish the campaign in the top four – especially by getting rid of fourth -placed London rivals Chelsea.
