MANCHESTER: Paris Saint Germain (PSG) will present a dilemma for Manchester United over the future of Paul Pogba.

The agent of the 2018 World Cup winner, Mino Raiola has already discussed personal terms with the French giants involved.

If PSG make a big bid, it will surely test United’s determination to keep the 26 -year -old star at Old Trafford.

Pogba still has a 12-month contract with a salary of 290,000 pounds, but has yet to show signs of signing a new contract.

Thus, United must be prepared to lose the player next season or be ready to accept a bid at a low price before the transfer deadline, with six weeks left.

They once faced a similar situation when Pogba became a free agent in 2012 which angered Sir Alex Ferguson.

United only received 800,000 pounds in compensation from Juventus, so they want to avoid facing the same thing.

PSG, however, believe they can tie Pogba at a lower price than the 89 million pounds United paid Juventus in 2016.

There have not been any discussions between the two teams involved and Real Madrid is believed to be closely monitoring the situation.

When asked about his future during the 2020 European Championships, Pogba said ‘I still have a one -year contract, everyone knows about it.

“But there are no more concrete proposals for a contract extension. I’m still in Manchester,” he said.
